the snow must go on
So, i've met Remy in the weekend, to give him the Traveller Canonet.
He's a cool person, was nice to talk to him.
BUT! he brought along his wife and daughter
After a few minutes of shyness, his daughter started the show and entertained us all for the rest of the time. She took at least 100 pics within half an hour (yeah, advantages of digital); between others, of her papa "sitting like a lady" and her papa with a handmade woody woodpecker-smile
Remy, i know they are not RF-made but you REALLY will have to post some of those pics here.
Also, she seemed to love to take pics of strangers sitting around in the bar. She might get a famous photographer once!

Wow - so Remy's wife and Nomin have moved to Europe or are they just there for a short while?
Great news. I can imagine the fun you guys had. Children are great.

Wonderful! Hope they are there permanaently. Hope they like the new digs. Kids take to such things pretty easily. Moma may have to be taken on trips to the nearest china town once in a while.

Nice words, Pherdinand.
Actually, I was a bit embarrassed by her drawing all the attention.
I'll see if I post some photos. Some are just blurry (she hasn't got the hang yet of focusing by half-way pressing and than firing by full press, and holding a big 300D steady in her small hands is a big task already) and with some I myself are not too pleased (the Woody Woodpecker face for instance.
)
Anyway, I enjoyed our short get-together much. Great you could come over.
I found it damn difficult to shoot on command, I must say! The first roll I started after Pherdinand and I had said goodbye. Loading the Canonet was a bit of a surprise and I wasted the first couple of shots. We walked around town and I shot the roll and some of a second roll. Yesterday and today I shot some more, and I hope I'll finish the rest tomorrow during the day. In the evening I hope to get the Canonet on the road to Belgium.

They're here to stay!
The Immigration Service will still have a big say in it, of course, but we are quite confident all will work out well.

Remy, the loading of the canonet QL (quick load) is just like loading any modern film camera
drop the film in it and close the backdoor. I guess you are "spoiled" by your bottom-load Leica and, on the other hand, the digital

Hope you don't mind but she just loves the pic!

I'm indeed rather happy.
Nomin is happy that your daughter likes the photo.
I don't mind, of course, that she uses it as background.
