So I haven't been around much. That's because I am in the middle of a month long Bourbon, BBQ and Baseball road trip through the American South. I thought I would share a link to a gallery and a few images, shot with my M8, here as I travel. I will update along the way, enjoy!

some fine shots, Damaso.
i see you have visited a bourbon distillery. how about jack daniel's and george dickel sour mash whisley distilleries in middle tennessee? i grew up nearby.
as for barbecue, the world champion barbecue (literally, world championship winner) resides in decatur, alabama, at big bob gibson's place.
i hope you continue to enjoy your trip, and if get into north alabama, let me know ...

We have been mostly visiting smaller distilleries like MB Roland and Pritchard's but we also stopped by Dickel and Heaven Hill. We were going to visit Bob Gibson but sadly the timing didn't work out. You can check out my blog at www.damaso.com/blog to read detailed postings of some of my visits.

Time to go out with my wife, I just gave a quick look at these nice photos (I like the first one!) I'll go tomorrow to your gallery, ciao

sounds like a wonderfully themed trip! love all 3, especially the bourbon part--hence my moniker, which is taken from my 'house' bourbon, which is distilled in louisvill ky. i could be wrong, but i think it,s tennesse 'whiskey' and kentucky 'bourbon'...

either way, very evocative shots. i really enjoy the composition of the 'beale street' picture, and the smoiking meat very artful. if your trip is half as good as your photos youre having a blast!

It really was a great trip, the pics don't do it justice. In terms of definition, with bourbon it is actually legal. First straight bourbon has to be made of 51% corn and aged in new, charred oak barrels for at least two years and can't have any additional colors or flavors than what is picked up from the barrel. It can be made anywhere. I always thought it was location based but the distillers I talked to set me straight!:D
