I just thought I'd write to say how pleased I have been with my continued dealings with Robert White photography and in particular, Ken who has cost me a fortune but been a great help.

I have bought all of my rangefinder gear from RW and I have valued Ken's knowledge and opinions very highly.

I first bought a Bessa R3A on the back of a review in Amateur Photographer and a friend recommended RW so I gave them a call. I spoke to Ken who answered all of my questions about rangefinder equipment and lenses and also offered some extra advice besides.

While I was a focus birmingham a few days ago, I visited the RW stand and chatted with Ken in person. Apart from having a great chat and maybe spending a little too much, I really do value the knowledge and experience which the RW staff obviously have. Its rare to find a dealer like that these days as I am often frustrated when I am obviously being 'flanneled' by supposed experts in the larger chain shops.

If there is anyone from the UK who needs advice on rangefinder kit etc, may I recommend RW wholeheartedly. The goods are despatched speedily too and I even received an after sales email asking if everything had arrived safely.

Well done guys and when I want my Xpan, i'll be in touch!

I have also bought smaller items from them and found them helpful. I thought RW were RFF sponsors, but they no longer seem to be shown on the RFF site any more.

I was wondering about the sponsorship as well. I was about to order some things but if they are no longer sponsors, I will use Ffordes as usual.

I will always use Robert White for their knowledge, their stock and their same day dispatch.

'Sponsor' (advertiser) status or not makes no difference to me.

When I spoke to them at the Focus on Imaging show in Brum I ended up parting with more cash than I expected as well (a new and waiting to be used 21mm and a Bessa L). I really have a lot of time for them. I also use Ffordes (today even) to get a used 28 finder for the L for when I'm out on the bike.

Off to the Lake District next week so the all the gear will get plenty of use.

It'd be good if they still sponsor the site but if not I guess I'd still use them, a good dealer thats only an hour or so ride/drive is really worth keeping.

And from the other side of the Atlantic...

And from the other side of the Atlantic...

OK, how about a good word from the colonies. Before the Voigtlaender SL lenses
became available through US channels I just had to have one of the 75s in M42
mount. The lens made the trip from the UK to Florida in six days. I don't know
how they did it, but that's my story and I'm stickin' to it. Their service and demeanor
are both pleasent and professional, and if I wasn't flat busted I'd probably already
have sought out a Ricoh R-Digital from them.

It's a fine match-up; a first rate dealer sponsoring a first-rate forum, for which I thank you.

I bought a lens from them as well and it was good sevice. There was a problem with the lens which they sorted out very quickly.

FFordes sorted out a problem for me a few years ago. I bought from them a new 28mm Ricoh lens in 39mm R/F mount. I took it to Munich with me but was very disappointed with the results. Ffordes looked at it and advised me that there was a balsam separation in one of the lens groups. could have been caused by a knock, I assured them that I had not dropped or missused it in any way. No argument, they replaced it with my now beloved 28mm Ultron. I can imagine the hassle with some lesser dealers!!
