Is there, by any chance, a Robot-LTM or Robot-M adapter out there? I think the Robot screw mount is 32 or 33mm. It might be fun to try some scale-focus stuff with the Xenar 38/2.8 on the R-D1 I'm getting...

I asked too soon! I was searching using the wrong terms...here's one at B&H...has anyone ever used it?

The Robot thread mount is much smaller than that- 26mm. The lenses were made to cover 24mmx24mm- should be fine for R-D1. I haven't ever seen an adapter to put robot lenses on other mounts, but have seen robot bodies with other lenses- a Pre-AI 105mm f.2.5 Nikkor was a strange paring.
Just seen a Robot thread mount to M39 on eBay:

I bought one from World Trade Camera, and it arrived today, but although the diameter was correct, the thread gauge was too narrow. Thanks for the eBay tip--I've asked the seller what shipping to the US would cost.
By the way, I thought the Schneider Robot lenses were full frame--aren't they supposed to fit on the FF Royals as well as the Star and the 24x24 Royal?

Well-known
their two ranges of schneider lens for robot... the robot screw mount which covers 24x24 and the bayonet mount ones (royal) where some are 24x36 and some are 24x24...

If all else fails, you might want to try these folks: Mount Magic (link will take you to their Robot/LTM Adapter). Is there, by any chance, a Robot-LTM or Robot-M adapter out there?

Ahh, thanks. I'm afraid to email them for fear it will cost two hundred dollars.
ben_m is right, BTW, the Robot screw is 26mm.

recently I used a prewar uncoated Zeiss Tessar 3cm lens, Robot M26 mount, on my Leica III, no vignetting, but low contrast and tendency to flare because it is uncoated, could test other Robot lenses too ( Xenon 40mm, Biotar 40mm, Xenar 75mm)
