I came across a Robot Royal 36 model III.
It has normal, wide and tele lenses (35, 45 and 75 I think) with it.
Just curious what a kit like this might be worth.

There's one on e-bay with a starting bid of $475 and buy it now price of $499. Comes with 28mm lens.

A bit on Wiki as well... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robot_camera

I used to have one of the little 24x24mm Robot Stars, but sold it to a fellow who needed its features for some science stuff. Found some old negatives from it recently and will have to try scanning them on the Coolscan 5000. Hope the scanner can figure out this format as I've only run normal 24x36mm frames through it so far?

I saw the eBay one. Nice camera. The one I saw seems in good shape and the clockwork seems to function properly.
To scan the 24x24 negs I imagine you'll have to scan individually and crop each one in the scanner.

There are two Royals, the 24 (24 x 24 )and the 36 (24 x 36 ). The full frame 36 only can use a very limited range of the Robot lenses, 35,50 and 75. problem is the others dont cover the full frame. I had the 36 in the 1980's, good camera but heavy, RF nothing like as good as Leica or even Fed 2. If they go wrong, they cost a fortune to repair and parts are near impossible to find.
P.S. the Robot Royal series have a different lens mount to the other Robots, and only the Royal24 can take all the lenses in that series.
