I need advice from you.

I'd like to buy from a seller Robot Royal III, but the seller can not say the price. He said that the price I must offer him.
Can you please write how much can be about the price of this beautiful set?I do not want too much overpaid seller .

Robot Royals are scarce enough that it is hard to find any reliable pricing, even more so when it comes to complete kits - I don't remember even a single one appearing on the classifieds here. And Robots experienced a particularly steep price drop in the past ten or fifteen years which often is not reflected in the prices asked (but not paid any more), so that most of the prices you'll run across cannot be trusted.

You might try to read up the past decade Westlicht auction catalogues (which are on the net). The prices paid there are at least prices that actually have been paid and determined in a large public auction, and frequently lower than the prices that appear to have been paid on (easily manipulated) ebay. Ebay and used camera store asking prices are mostly pure fiction (sometimes up to ten times higher than the prices paid at Westlicht or Sotheby's high profile auctions), and even supposedly paid ebay prices are more often than not a product of price rigging, when it comes to Robots.

Another reference might be Kadlubek catalogue prices, but these are not free from ebay and used camera store price rigging, and tend to have too many price points dating back to the most glorious (and expensive) days of mechanical camera collecting - you'll often have to take a third to three quarter off these prices to get close to current pricing.

And check up the condition of the camera. Collectors prices are only paid for immaculately looking cameras, which may be gummed up and useless until cleaned and lubricated, but may not even slightly be worn, corroded, bent or otherwise broken.

One more point that might help when doing price searches: With a Xenar 38mm it will be a square format Royal rather than a 36, or a camera with mismatched lens - either does reduce the price.

Thank you mens for answers.

I speak with seller and he said maybe 750 - 800 $ , but he is not sure apparently.

I think it is a very good price.
