Why does everyone read his reviews, disagree and then complain about what a Putz he is?
Is anyone knowledgeable going to buy or not buy or even sell something because of Mr. Rockwell's opinion?
Pretend he writes for Mad Magazine or whatever.
Then just read his stuff for its amusment value and move on.

I'm with you, rbsinto: I just don't get why people get so worked up. I visited Rockwell's site when I first read about it (probably here) and I didn't get why he's so controversial. I don't find Rockwell humorous or even clever, though.

I find the topic humorous and informative--in regard to calibration for RF anyway.
Since my platform is the nex, I'm also interested in finding a super fast 50, which does not weigh a ton, but is as sharp as possible.
the one that keeps coming up lately is the Canon nFD 50 1.2L @ 380 grams.The plain nFD version is only 315 grams, and cheap-but reportedly a bit softer.
