Rodinal and Acros help please.

I have rated the film at 50 asa and now have rolls for developing. If I use the 50 to 1 ratio that I see so often posted here by you chaps, what are the times and instructions of agitation that you use.
One other big question I have is, what do you use to measure out the Rodinal, I was just going to do one 120 roll at first and that will be a tiny amount of the developer.

Indeed a tiny amount of developer, normally 1+50 and for a 500ml -600ml roll film tank 10-12ml concentrate Rodinal. For Acros 100 indeed E.I. 50 or E.I. 64 for N=0 during 11:30 minutes at 20C. Just slow agitation, every 30S two times starting with 30S continuous.

I have just done two 35mm Acros films in Rodinal / R09 o.s. 1+50 about the wedding in Ukraine for my daughter, real nice negatives!

When I can't reach it in the bottle anymore I'll pour out some in an old plastic film canister...

I'm not going to tell you your film speed is wrong or anything, but after shooting a lot of this combo I really prefer iso 80 with 13.5 min of time for 1:50. fwiw I like a lot of pure black in my photos but my scans have plenty of shadow detail, I just make it go away.

anyway I use a syringe to measure it as well.

If I turn the tank twice slowly every 30 seconds, it could mean about 10 or 15 seconds of every 30 seconds being used for agitation, is this what you mean.
I also have read of standing times of a few hours by some people. What are the advantages of this method and what are the rules of the processing method.

I invert and twist slowly twice and then tap the tank on the counter (takes about 10 seconds total) and set it down for 50 seconds.

Stand development gives a maximum of semi compensating effect but the sharpness will be LESS.
Indeed turn the tank twice slowly every 30 S.

Agfa has a recommended development routine for Rodinal, I personally suggest you start there and if you see reason to change then do so.

I use one of these too...I bought it at a local drug store.

I rate my Acros at ISO 80 with 13.5 min for 1:50. I agitate slowly for the first 60 seconds and then 4 inversions within 10 seconds every 60 seconds.
