I remember back in January when bmattock posted news that Rodinal production was going to resume. I figured I'd believe it when I could buy it.
Today was that day, at Glazer's in Seattle. Small bottle was just under $12. They also had a bunch of larger bottles, though not in the classic red Agfa box.
Sorry if I'm late to the celebration, but I was so pleased!

That's good news, though it seems like a significant price increase. I bought plenty of stock when Agfa first announced their demise. For awhile I thought maybe that was foolish since the stuff was to go back into manufacturing, but now it looks like I saved some dough.

There are already grumblings that "it's not the same" from people with nothing better to do. I may have predicted that as well. AFAIK, it's the same.

We've been able to get the new stuff in the UK for more than a year. Good news that the US has it now as it will sell more and therefore maybe survive.
Mind you it keeps very well - just buy 20 litres and stick to 1 +100 dilution (one 36 exposure roll uses 3ml in a Paterson tank) and you will probably be able to will some to your grandchildren.

I dont know about willing it to off spring! I used to buy it in "6-packs" - 6 i liter bottles and used it lasted 12-18 months. OK, I was shooting commercial stuff and went through film at a scary rate. I also used it for specialized copy work with 4x5 and 8x10 film ( even at 1:100 you use a lot of Rodinal with 5 liter tanks!). Good news though that it is back and when it trickles over the border from Seattle, I will again stock up. This time maybe only 3 liters or so as i would hate to have left over when film ceases to exist!
