where can I find? I would prefer in Ontario somewhere, I checked henry's it has only agfa brazinal or something...
I would not like it to be shipped from US as it needs special shipping instructions, bla bla as it is a chemical. Even in Canada you pay extra shipping for chemicals...

Blazinal is Rodinal, there are issues with trademark that require the different name. that being said henrys is out of stock i have a back order in with the downtown store myself for the last 3 weeks (they had some come in while i was on vacation and released my held item before i got back)

oh great to know thanks!!! I really need to try some different chemicals. I am stuck with ID-11 and lastly I bought D-76 thinking it is a different formula
haha I need to improve my knowledge on the developers...Rodinal seems to be a very popular one in rff society.

i just got a call from Henrys saying my rodinal is in (they even called it rodinal not blazinol lol)
Freestyle will be cheaper on the films in my experience. canadian film pricing seems high
if you want to try before committing to a qty worth ordering from freestyle though
Forte is available at eight elm photo in Toronto ( great paper source BTW)
Toronto Black and White on River st may have some alternate films (he was the first guy i saw with rollei)
Lomography just opened a shop on Queen St never know what they will have
But truly Freestyle is your best choice for price and selection i rarely buy film locally

of course any forte left at eight elm must be getting old since production ceased. since they are close to Ryerson I would look to them for any of the alternate films as they have a built in market

i picked up some legacy pro (both the 400 and 100) re branded fuji from freestyle and so far am happy with it. bought the short dated stuff and threw in the fridge
was really cheap
i hear the 400 is gone now though there is some 100 (acros equivalent)

I get almost all my film and paper from a great, responsive company based out of Winnipeg -- long-standing commitment to darkroom.
They sell Blazinal (as Rodinal has to be called up here)...darkroomcentral.ca

I had a terrible experience with Darkroomcentral. Ordered a few chem bottles and it took about two months. I called after 10 days of not hearing anything only to be told the bottles were backordered. Called back two weeks later and I have a feeling they never actually ordered them in the first place. Would have been quicker and cheaper going someplace in the US, but I didn't want to bother.
And their film prices are more than double B&H prices.
Note: If you do order from the US, don't ship it UPS ground. The $45 brokerage fee that customs charges is a joke.

ordering chemicals from the states depends greatly on whether or not it's got the ORMD classification. If it does, it may either go ground or not at all.
