Spoke to a photo dealer today. He claimed that Agfa would be supplying film and chemicals to the Swedish market until October/November, but after that could not guarantee availability.

Time to build up a supply of Rodinal and try out some of the Rodinal clones out there.

Skinny, don't panic. JandC Photo sell the "original" formula Rodinal made in Eastern Europe and marketed as "RO-9". Even so, if Agfa stops production, someone will fill the gap. Rodinal is too popular to simply go away.

It'll be available in some form from Photographer's Formulary forever. (That's a lot of alliteration there.)

Like Walker said, there still are Foma F09 and Calbe R09, the 'original' Rodinal formulas.

Well, I have not done any scientific one-to-one objective comparison, but the results sure look similar (the plastic bottles of the Calbe stuff suck, though - they tend to split open at the seam were both halves of the bottle are joined - so you'd better refill the stuff into glass bottles; also, R09 already comes in the dark brown color that Rodinal only reaches after a couple of weeks).
