Another fine 'RoidWeek done. There are a lot of very nice instant film photos here and on the 2025 album in Flickr ...! Good job all!

Hmm. And my NONS InstaxSQ back is ready to shoot with 9 exposures to go. Going to have to go find some subjects to use it on. 😉

Thanks Robert!

I took the SWC/M with NONS InstaxSQ back out for a walk yesterday... The tricky part about using the SWC/M with the NONS InstaxSQ back is getting the exposure right. InstaxSQ B&W is contrasty and presents a challenge. The InstaxSQ Color is a bit less demanding. But mechanically and feel wise, it works beautifully and gives you full control of exposure and focus. I have a couple from my walk that I'll render and post.

But late in the evening, I returned from dinner and saw the light in the bedroom ... Just had to pull out the camera and tripod.

Bears On The Bed - Santa Clara 2025
Hasselblad SWC/M plus NONS InstaxSQ back
Fujifilm InstaxSQ B&W
ISO 640 @ f/8 @ 8 seconds

In this low-light situation, you're well into the reciprocity curve of Fujifilm Instax SQ B&W ... I found a long time ago that the ISO 800 rating was simply too high and have used ISO 640 as my standard with good results overall, but reciprocity starts to become a problem at about 1/4 second. The incident meter reading for this shot was 1 second @ f/8, and I extended that to 4 seconds on my first try. That was close, but not enough ... Next try was 7-8 seconds, and that hit the exposure right, but a third exposure was made with a slight reframing to get it exactly the way I wanted.

Hopefully, I won't spend four frames for every "good" exposure in the future. That gets pricey! 😉
