I bought this lens thinking it would mount on my Minolta Rokkor-MC/MD mount bellows and was surprised to receive a small, beautiful lens with many blades in the aperture mechanism and a screw mount. Like other bellows lenses there is no focus mechanism, so I can't image how it would be used. Does anyone know? Many thanks.

Minolta made a LTM to SRT mount Adapter.

Thank you. I wonder why they made a screw mount bellows lens in the first place. I see on further research they also made an SR mount pre-set 135mm f/4 tele that has my lens as its front half.

Trying to hook into the Visoflex market?

No I'm trying to decide if I want to sell this, how to describe it and to whom to sell it; or if I wish to keep it how to make it work. I have never been interested in the Visoflex which always struck me as the optical equivalent of a rubber doll for a girlfriend. So we shall see.

I have such an adapter, but it does not allow for RF focusing. I use it with Rokkor wide angle lenses.
One option may be to use your lens with the Minolta adapter to M 4/3 cameras. Focusing would be done via the VF.

Here is the Minolta Adapter you would need to work with your lens. I would get the one made by Minolta. I do own one myself, although I have yet to use it, as I no longer have any LTM lenses.

The included spanner wrench allows you to easily remove it, from the front of an SRT camera body, or in your case, the front of your Minolta Bellows. Good Luck removing the adapter without the spanner
Make sure it comes with one.

My adapter is black colored and is bulky. It does not look similar to what is shown in the link. I meant that you can use this lens on a Leica mount camera.

I don't think there is any reason to use this lens on an LTM or any other rangefinder camera, Raid, because it cannot be focused except by walking toward or away from what you're aiming at. It's meant as a bellows lens. Completely mystifying why it was made... Might have been part of a some kind of LTM visoflex like macro set up??. I keep meaning to inquire of the Minolta listserves or more precisely Yahoo Groups I subscribe to.
Nokton, thank you for the link -- I just bought it. So, we shall see.....

My guess would be that Minolta had a LTM Bellows system for their older rangefinder cameras? Never seen an references to one, though. Just a guess.
But that will work on your SRT Bellows just fine. Should be a great lens for shooting from further lens-to-subject distances.
