I've done it a tonne, way back in highschool, but what I'm wondering is if i am going to bulk load do i have to develop as well? I've done that way back in the day too, but my memory is a bit fuzzy, how much would some start up kit cost me?
Do you folk print your own too? Or is it digital scans? Should I even bother bulk loading before I have a scanner? Can you develop bulk loaded film at a photofinishers?
You don't have to develop as well. Although, you probably want to have a good relationship with a lab if you don't (particularly if you bulk load color film [of which there are one or two available]). You probably want a pro lab as opposed to a retailer that sticks your film in a mailer, or envelope, and hands it off to a daily pickup (although that sometimes works just fine).
I process then scan and occassionally print, but you can process and take your negs in for a scan to cd, or take them in for process and a scan to cd, etc., whatever works best. 🙂
