Rollei 35 now joins my Rollei 35S

Well I'm more than happy with my Rollei 35S but I fancied getting a Rollei 35 with a tessar FOR b&w work, well this week I've managed to get hold of a German made Rollei 35, (with a few dings but mechanically sound), for only £55...............so I'm a happy man. I plan to shoot the tessar with a mid yellow Rollei filter and keep the Rollei 35S with its sonnar for my colour work
 
thanks for the reply Frank, how do you find the Tessar with regards to b&w work do you use any filters
 
I don't use filters, haven't got any in that size. The Tessar is sharp and crisp, the Sonnar is sharp and creamy. The Tessar seems to accentuate film grain in the final (wet) print.
 
Thanks John, I know what you mean, I used to have a Rollei 35B and I really liked the results I got from its Triotar
 
I have read, from people who open these cameras up and work on their internals (I do not), that the B and C models use more plastic and less metal for internal bits so that their build quality is lower. I would love to see pictures to show examples of this. I do not doubt this assertion, but it would be interesting to actually see. I have an S, T, and B Rollei 35 but am not interested in dismantling them to see for myself. The dismantling is not the problem for me, re-assembly is.

Don't know about the inside, but the general feel of my 35 LED was just…plasticky and cheap. I was constantly worried of breaking it…

…not that it matters anymore, since the shutter's broken…hate all those locks.
 
my 35B was anything but plasticky and for its size quite heavy.but it was the non LED one
I would think it was quite robust, spent a night in the open at 3500 ft after I left it on top of a mountain, rescued it next day covered in hoar frost, with no ill effects.!!
