Just bought Rollei 35 RF in excellent condition for a very attractive price as a second body to my M7 0.85. Great camera to couple with my Leica-M lenses. Light, with bright viewfinder (you can shoot with both eyes open) and big 40 and 50mm framelines. I have shoot a test roll with it and Summilux 35/1.4 pre-asph and will post an example a bit later. Thanks Rollei!:)

Just finished my first roll in my recently aqcuired Rollei 35, great little camera, solidly built, although it has taken me a little time to get used to scale focusing.

I think, Mick is referring to another camera with similar name :)

with 40mm lens I feel comfortable with zone focusing, even with apertures like f4, f2.8 - just don't expect superfine-focused image, but certain genres absolutely don't suffer from lack of dead-on focus.

Congrats on purchase, I recently realized what beast Rollei 35RF is; so I understand Mick's confusion.

Thats the second time I have asked a stupid question on this forum this weekend. Yes I am talking about a different camera the Rollei 35S, after Alex's earlier post I even got mine out to check I wasn't missing somthing.

Anyway that's two less dumb questions I will not ask again ;)

PS Alex I am a frequent visitor to your site I really admire your work.

Thank you, guys for your attention and contribution. Mick, I am sorry, I thought you were talking about Rollei 35 RF. Sounds like you own a different camera.

Somewhere along the line, Rollei decided to add "35" to nearly all of its 35mm cameras (although it didn't do it with most of its P&S cameras).

So you have the Rollei 35 (T/TE/S/SE/B/LED), Rolleiflex SL 35 (M/ME/E), Rollei XF 35, Rollei QZ 35T/35W, Rollei 35 AFM, Rollei 35 RF. It's easy to see why people get confused when discussing the various Rollei cameras.
