I bought this rollei 35 off of eBay and the first thing I noticed was that this ring was coming off. I finally tilted the camera upright and the ring came off completely. So a couple of questions:
Is this common?
This doesn't seem to be a terrible thing but there was also a loose screw underneath the front lens ring. This probably means that someone recently worked on this correct? It might've been the shipping...
What are some other common problems to look for with Rollei 35's?

I don't know what it means but it's not right. I would send it back. I have one just like it and it's a wonderful little camera. Good Luck. Joe

someone messed up with the focusing. send it back.

I would send that back, it's highly unlikely it could have been caused by shipping. It appears someone tried to work on the focusing and didn't do a very good job.
