The button that locks the lens barrel is stuck down so the barrel is free to fall out of the body when it's retracted.

Barrel falling out is due to lack of friction between the hold and the tube - there should be a flannel strip in the groove of the hole which might be missing. It has nothing to do with button lockdown, which may be due to missing springs instead.
