Last roll of film I started noticing that shutter speeds of 1/30 and lower started to hang up a bit, getting considerably slower. Fast shutter speeds seem OK, but who knows...
I'm not about to shelf this little gem. It's a beautiful "Made in Germany" model and it serves me well. It's an excellent take-anywhere camera and i use it fairly frequently because of that. And even though I have quite a few cameras I shoot on a daily basis I think little Rollei will be hard to substitute.
Time for service. Thing is I have zero experience with that. I believe I'd have no problem finding a reputable Leica or Hassie repair(wo)man, but Rollei is a different story.
Anyone have any good reference for Rollei repair places? Preferably in Europe (better yet in Holland). And how much should I expect shutter repair to set me back?
(Just for the hell of it, a couple of shots from the last Roll of Rollei Retro in Rollei 35

Those are lovely pics Phantomas!
I'm also enjoying a lot a Germany made one i bought two weeks ago in very nice condition. I also had the slow speeds trouble begining on the 1/15s and slower, and took it to a Leica Dealer here in Barcelona. They adjusted them for a reasonable amount and now is working fine.
I don't think is difficult to get it adjusted if you take it to experienced guys who are familiar with mechanical cameras.
I love the Tessar sharpness, the 40mm focal lenght and the feeling of this little camera.
Some of my recent pics with Eastman Double-X and HP5@800 ASA

Hi Santi, maybe I should bring my Rollei to Barcelona (well, it has been there once) and look up your repair guy. I'm also asking because I have never serviced a camera before (fingers crossed) so I don't even know who "a" good repairman would be around here. Once I tried to tune something on Konica AF and few places I contacted around Amsterdam refused to touch it... ended up fixing it with a friend.
Maybe I'll contact that famous Wilco Jansen guy (he just seems to be heavily into Leicas and Hassies).
And while we're at it, here's my Rollei in your city

two starting places to look:
http://www.rolleirepairs.com/index.htm
can't find the link, but I ran across a guy in Paris? (France for sure) that repaired 35's as a sideline & had a lot of information online.

Funny that everyone here likes the 35. I really don't like using my 35TE (scale focusing is not for me) and I can't seem to find anyone who wants to buy it which makes me question its popularity.

I recently had my Rollei 35S CLA'd by Harry Fleenor. Now she's good as new! Great communication and quick turn-around. www.rolleirepairs.com
