Hi.
The pace plate of the lens was fell and lost during my trip.
is the missing face plate can impact on the photo quality?
is it supposed to protect on the contacts around the lens? or it is just
a cover?

Pretty sure they're usually just cosmetic and won't affect photos

I have a 35S that suffered exactly the same thing. No effect on the camera operation, but sure looks ugly, although a filter obscures this. Also the face plate has the serial number, so now my camera is anonymous!
