I have removed all screws and knobs on this top plate but the battery compartment seems to be preventing me from completely removing it, the shutter release know is somehow attached as well, very puzzling.
Anyone know what the issue is, there are two screws inside the battery compartment and after removing them I thought I would be inside but no.
Help Help Help Please..........

The key part with all Rollei 35 models is the rewind pin hold by a spring wire inside the R lever chamber.
On the TE and SE models the battery compartment can be left in place, this doesn't prevent from removing the top cover.

There is a small button that you slide over to remove the battery and it’s holder on the back of the top plate. It is that button I can not remove, it seems to be attached ,it does not screw off or pull off. The PDF files for the older models show that all you have to do is remove the screw and levers on them for easy top removal but the SE model has this added problem.

You must unscrew it. If you cannot unscrew it easily, it may have been screwed in with some threadlocker fluid or having got stuck with corrosion over time. It is made of metal so I suggest that you heat it for a few seconds with a soldering iron pin then try to unscrew it again, using a rubber pad.
