Rollei B35 advance lever trouble

I got a Rollei B35 in good working condition, just filthy. I need to take the top plate off to clean the viewfinder optics. I know how, I just can't get the big flat screw on top of the film advance lever to come off (the one with the two holes). It just spins freely in either direction. I've tried pressing down as I turn, shutter cocked, not cocked, lever at the end of it's winding motion, hold it, spin, no-go it just spins

I've seen people's pages showing the camera with the top off.. "Oh just remove the advance lever and two side screws that's it".. they don't mention a secret to getting the advance lever top screw off... Is mine fu#@ed up?

Can anyone please post a close-up photo of the area after the lever and top is removed? I don't think the screw itself is striped but I suspect the brass bushing it screws into is loose from whatever it is held in...I think there is a black plastic thing with 3 tabs that hold the lever?
