Anyone with some first person feedback on the following scanner:
Rollei DF-S 190 SE
The price is very convenient and also resolution is not bad (9MP).
In the past I use a Coolscan, which was great but terribly slow. Obviously resolution and quality were better but how much better?
Is there anybody that tried both or just the Rollei?
Feedback and samples are very welcome,
Thanks
Giulio
PS the similar products have in general a good review on amazon

Well-known
I have the DF-S 190 SE...
It has a camera of 9MP and takes a picture of your negative.
It is super fast comparatively to a flatbed scanner, but I am not sure about the quality...
The MPs are quite many but I am not sure about sharpness and image quality...
It works only stand alone and you can not use any scanning software to control it.
Does anyone has some critique about this scanner?

I bought a second hand one yesterday.
It worked perfect as I tested it at the guy who sold it, but now at home, it gives an error to save to the SD card. I'm using exactly the same SD card.
However, it has 64mb internal storage, so it's not that big problem as I can save it internally and transfer it via the usb powered cable to the computer.
Just tested this for an hour this morning, perhaps it works again perfectly another day.
I like the quality (for the price it's a big bang for the buck), and I edit afterwards with Gimp.
Here's an example of 3 photos I scanned this morning:

However, there's a lot of dust on the backlight, I tried to swipe it away.
