Just saw this today and wondered about the quality.
Has anyone used it before? Can it be re-used with some hacking?

Keith
The best camera is one that still works!
I seem to remember seeing a group on some forum somewhere that is dedicated to hacking these disposables and reloading them with film for re-use.
I opened one up a while ago out of curiosity and managed to get quite a zap off the capacitor that works the flash!

Thanks for the warning! Probably woke you up, didn't it?
so it was a Rollei that you opened up, you mean? Or one of the other ones?

No it was one of the others ... a Fuji or Kodak! I think they are all much the same though and the one I dismantled didn't seem to difficult to deal with. The one thing that makes it out of the ordinary is that the camera has to start with the film fully wound out of the cassette and each shot progressively returns it to the cassette. This means you would have to load it this way in the dark ... which could be a challenge!
Here's a blog that descriibes the process ... it seems that you can do it all in the light!

You can Keith, But only if you have a disposable that uses a regular film cassette. Most of them have the top end o the spool serrated instead of the regular slotted one.

Thanks guys! Now I have some clues. If I come across one that's better priced ($18 is not really reasonable) I'll check it out!

Same as Keith, I got the stuffing shocked out of me (several times). I was trying to make a serrated spool, not having saved or even observed the original, and I ended up trashing the camera.
But I've got another now and I'm going to try again.
I don't know why I have an obsession over reloading a disposable when I have over a dozen 'real' cameras to choose from. I think it's just the simplicity aspect.

Your own link says $13.99 or is it some other currency whose exchange rate is now 1.287 to the dollar?

So why in the world do you want to turn this into a more than single use camera? Is the lens that good?
