Hi Everyone,
So a month ago I was proud of myself for getting a Rolleicord IV for like $75. Well then it needed a shutter CLA. Ok, $95 for a reliable shutter ... ok.

Before I sent it for shutter service I shot a roll in my office and all was well. When I got it back I shot a few rolls and Bam! Focus is jacked.

So being a view camera guy at heart I slapped a little ground glass on the film runners and infinity focus was at about 20' ... 1/8 of the knob turn from infinity setting. Wow ...

So I took the little plate off the lenses and tweeked the viewfinder lens to match the shooting lens. All is sorta well but the focus is most accurate at minimum focus distance of 3'. And then drifts to back focus the farther you get away. ( I set it there cuz I shoot people)

Did something go strange at the repair shop and how can I make it a "full range" camera again? But I do shoot pretty close.

Thanks for reading this mess ...

Hi Gumby,
I am in Phoenix and the fellow owns Tempe Camera Repair, Joe. Super cool, 60, laid back & very fair. Did it in 1 day. Has done machine work for me many times & is just a great guy. But stand by to see about the focus mishap. Probable just left some shims out.
