One thing to watch if you attach a tripod directly to the bush in the base of the camera is that the leverage possible on the camera back can distort it and cause light leaks. The Rolleiflex has no felt light seals - just metal light traps, and if you bend the metal back it's not easy to fix.
 
It's good to know that stuff about tripod and its adapters and attachments.

I believe that I will use the rollei more handheld, and won't often use a tripod so the simple adapter will do the job I hope.

I avoid messing with manipulations, but wanted to make the visualization of the story and its title "All airplane trails end in you" much stronger but yet natural, so here I put together Film|Digital photos side by side, and came to this:

I want to thank you, in public :), for sending me the tripod adapter from Helsinki way down to my lake. I received it today and works fine.
I left it fixed on my Rollei, or should I take it and put it again when needed (if this makes any sense at all, heh).

Not a single photo I've seen looks sharp. Haze aside I think you've got some sort of focusing issue.

Why not do a controlled test to be sure.

The photo below was taken on a 1930 vintage Rolleiflex Standard with the old CJZ Tessar 75/4.5. Its mopping the floor with your Planar - point being not to offend but you definitely have a problem IMO. Even the oldest Rollei TLRs kick butt!

Even my old 1938 Rollei with uncoated lens doesn't flare like this camera you have, and my old one had some haze in the lens too (I recently cleaned it, but even with the haze it was not that bad). I bet yours is full of haze or fungus!
