Rolleiflex 3.5F w/Planar - I'm in love.

Really enjoying these photos, Brian. Makes me want to get out and shoot my 124G more. I'm guessing my Yashica is softer at f3.5, but do you have any idea how these cameras compare? I bought the Yashica to get my foot into MF (particularly for portraiture) and really like it, but I suspect the Rollei lenses have better micro contrast and colour, as well as resolution.

Edit: here's a recent Portra effort, V700 scan and LR4. I was happy with this. I would be curious what differences I might expect to see if I'd used a Rollei to render this:

I haven't had a chance to compare, though I have used an Autocord. Its fairly close, particularly when stopped down. The Planar seems smoother over all, higher resolution and has a more modern image. The tessar TLRs aren't far behind though.
 
That is a beautiful photo Lynn. I'm not sure its possible to improve on it. Its possible the later Rollei lenses would have given you a bit more corner sharpness but that image doesn't need it. The bokeh is also very pleasant - some of the tessar derivative lenses would give less evenness or a hint of a swirl but that is already nice. You'd probably get a bit more sharpness but it doesn't look necessary there.

A few from Seattle Solstice, 2015. I decided to shoot a few portraits again after my success with it last year. The results weren't as individually strong but I do like the participant vs spectator angle.

This is my last roll with the Rollei before it goes in for service. Oil migrated to the blades at some point and I messed up a handful of shots.






 
Brian..after seeing these beautiful close ups I'm gonna have to find a Rolleinar Close Up lens for my E3 with 6 element Xenotar F3.5. Thanks for sharing these simply amazing shots.
