Rolleiflex shoots all 12 frames!

Well, I am actually not in possession of the camera. The photo of the inside was taken by my repairman. I should have the camera back in a few days and I think I will just shelve it until I decide who to send it to next. I just bought a lesser expensive T camera in good shape to get me by until this E model is fixed..if ever! As of now my E camera is DOA..
 
How does the frame counter advance without first triggering the film sensor? Here's a couple of pictures from a camera I bought in pieces and reassembled (notice the position of the film sensor in the lower left):

Are you responding to my comment? Yes, I think if you're using just backing paper you would need to put some masking tape on it or otherwise thicken it enough to trip the film sensor. I know the Ikoflex Favorit has a similar roller-type frame mechanism, with a film sensor, but you can trip that manually with the back open. Maybe that's not possible with a Rolleiflex.
