OK, so I have had a mirror installed in a Rolleiflex T crack. Twice now. Obviously something is wrong.

I've done dozens of mirrors is TLRs and never had this problem. The only thing that is different about this T is that the flat brass spring part that goes behind the mirror has two thin tabs at the bottom edge. It seemed to go in fine, maybe a little sense of tightness when tightening the two screws that hold the side tabs in. Since one of the mirrors cracked at the tabs, I guess that's a problem point.

Mirrors are cut fine, not oversized, etc.

Thoughts? Should I cut off the bottom tabs? Throw out the spring and use foam as cushion/spring?

I had this problem with a 2.8E. I also had replaced mirrors in other models without issue. You need to be positive that everything is positioned correctly. It's been a year or two since I replaced the mirror so I don't remember exactly. Maybe some one can offer more help.
