This sign in front of a limo service near my home in Fort Wayne went up right after President Obama announced that a team of US Navy Seals had killed Osama Bin Laden. It stayed up for quite a while before being replaced by the more usual advertising messages you'd expect on a business sign. I made this photo on May 11.

Leica M6, 50mm Tabbed Summicron, Tri-X at EI-200 developed in PMK.
 
hah i thought at first, WOW, Chris is pissed at Bin Laden...thats old news!

It is in the USA, don't know if it is anywhere else. As was mentioned earlier, Burn makes more sense.

Patriotism must sell well, this guy has a lot of Limos. Last time I drove by there, they had a stretched Rolls Royce!
 
Hey, he/she is in business, if he/she doesn't think it will chase away customers; he/she can do it. Maybe like a photographer that doesn't believe in porn, and says 'no' to a concupiscent or lascivious customer.

Nearly everyone here is glad Bin Laden is dead, so the sign won't lose him any business. I have seen businessmen put up signs that certainly would hurt business but they did it anyway. Usually partisan political stuff (eg. "Impeach Bush", "I'll keep my Guns, money and religion and you keep the change", etc.). Doesn't matter what party the signs support, it'll piss off those from the other party and they'll buy elsewhere.

The sign brings to mind that movie "The Hiding Place", where the tin Boom sisters (who lived in Amsterdam) hid Jews from the Nazis during WW2. They did so with zeal, because it was such a noble cause and tried to enlist all of their friends to do the same.

They were warned to be careful because you don't know people's personal politics.
