Well-known
Hyperion makes them:

Their straps are very nice quality and reasonably priced.

Hm... so round like a rope strap, but made of leather?

This guy? Got a similar one on the way for my Rollei, along with a round hand strap. (Probably still not it...)

Maybe you were looking at the Laccio strap from Arte di Mano (the best leather straps in the world *cough*).

They're beautiful, just like the Arte di Mano half cases are. Pricey: yes.
I'm old enough that I know when to spend money and when not to.

These round leather straps remind me of the Everlast leather jump ropes we used to use in the ‘80s and ‘90s. Back in the good old days when I did jump rope. I was pretty good at jumping rope.
Anyway, if you want a round leather camera strap, maybe you should check goodwill or some other hand-me-down type shop for an old leather jump rope and make one for yourself. Just a thought.
All the best,
Mike

Seems to me that any 'finished' strap like this is going to cost a bit. If you want to learn how to make one yourself, I found this listing on Etsy for leather cord:

Are these round straps meant to go over your neck or will they stay put on your shoulder...my biggest problem with straps is getting them to stay put on my shoulder when shooting with two or more bodies...
The strap aizan posted a link to is beautiful...but pricey...

I've seen something like them and bought one in a charity shop; after fitting it on the camera as a neck strap and putting it on, I realised it was to hold glasses...

i wear all of my straps bandolero style, over my neck...i prefer round straps as they move very easily front to back/by my side/up and down.
so far all my straps are 'lance'.
