Well-known
I first found RFF when I was going through a lot of anxiety over ASD and Gender Dysphoria .
I was chasing FSUs and had the opportunity to buy a new Leica M8 with CV 35 / F2.8 from an inheritance.
Not to mention the saga of those Contax / Kiev hybrids built for me by ex-Arsenal Techs in Ukraine !!
I came here to learn , but also to calm some of the anxiety .
The ASD and GD persist , but I am more OK with it now .
However , reading posts about cameras and photography , adding some often OTT posts about the latest camera craze genuinely helps keep me centred , or seemingly in touch , as I don't do people and socialising .
My snapshots would not past muster at RFF , but I continue to try , and the record helps with a fragmented memory and dee ficulty with constancy and continuity .
So thanks everyone for just being there and coping with my often odd perspectives on creating the magic of photographs.

I've always thought of photography as therapy, I love just looking at photographs too. Whenever my wife and I go somewhere and there are photos on the walls, thats where you'll find me, studying the photos.

Dee,
Creating photographs, learning and working with cameras, doing any kind of creative activity, is therapy as well as work and, occasionally, stress. Good stress: the kind that when you push through it with a creative act tends to center you and make you satisfied with your effort.
You should post some photographs. This forum isn't a competition, no one's should be rating your work or judging you. Photographs are all about what you see, what moves you, and sharing with others to seek a common experience. You might be surprised at the response.
Life is a struggle. Going through it with others by sharing can help make it more worthwhile.
