With the RWC underway in France, I thought it would be interesting to survey RFF for interest in the sport. Any current/former players out there? Also of interest, is Vintage Rugby. The third Vintage Rugby Carnival will be held in Christchurch, NZ, September, 2008. Age of players range 45-80+.

late to the party...i am a former player and an avid fan though it can be hard to find on tv over here.
I actually worked for rugby canada this summer as a liason officer which was kind of neat. when i'm not supporting canada I'm a Boks and Bleus fan. I'll also support anyone playing England

Well that’s one sin that contains its own penance!
I do hope the Canadian team got back home safely?

They did...and for a team of non-professionals I think they did alright. Fitness and finish and we'd have beaten Fiji...
That said, after England lost to SA I was more than impressed that they found form enough to beat Oz. I may not support them, but I can recognise their achievements. Not bad for a bunch of old timers.

I thought your comments were jest or banter, I was responding in kind, I have the greatest respect for Canada and the other semi-pro teams that were taking part, all brave men
