I'm sure many of you know how much of a pain in the butt this stuff can be to find. Thanks to a tip on Flickr, I was able to score myself 3 fresh bottles! How fresh? Well, it's got the opacity of pink lemonade 😀

My current bottle (at right) has taken me almost 2 years to go through 4/5ths of the bottle, so I should be set for a while!

For any of my fellow Canucks who are looking for some, Beau Photo in Vancouver has them in stock for about $15 a bottle:

Drop Krista-Belle a line if you're looking for some.

I better head down to Beau tomorrow and stock up. Only got two bottles of it left. In the "good old days" Agfa used to supply Rodinal in 1000ml bottles and 6 or 12 packs of that. Even if you were a heavy user, at 1:100 12 litres of Rodinal would go a long way!

I go through rodinal quite quickly... I mean i use 1:50 and develop usually 3 rolls at a time... and i used up close to half a 500ml bottle in like... a month or less? hehe.

I dropped in to Beau Photo this moring and picked up 4 bottles of Rodinal (500 ml). They had more in stock too.
It is becoming somewhat like the Noveau Beaujolais - people are flocking to places that have stock and bulk buying! Maybe we will see hot cars with blacked out headlights schreeching through the night with bottles of Rodinal instead of moonshine. Of course, they would be hotly pursued by yellow Kodak cars trying to confiscate it and exchange it for HC 110!

When I placed my order, I originally asked for 3 bottles, but when I spoke to them over the phone, I changed my mind and asked for 4. Unfortunately they must've forgotten I changed my mine and sent me my original 3 bottle. Of course, it was partly my fault for not opening both boxes (they could only send 2 bottles per box) until last night, after sitting on my floor for a week!

It's pretty easy to mix from dry chemicals too. The formula is readily available... not that I've mixed any myself. I just can't seem to finish my bottle.
