Rumor - 32000th of a second, who would have thought?

Speaking of the Fastax - there was one in the lab I worked at in the summer. They used it to record photoelastic patterns on impact specimens, or something like that (yeah, it's complicated). There was a box full of flash bulbs that they used as well; the 'flash' lasting 3 seconds or something like that. The camera took 100' rolls of 16mm double perforated film. The camera's controller - called 'the goose', for some reason - wasn't there so presumably the camera's been out of use for a long time. I should scan the manual and put it up here...
