And, stupid question from a non-Leica person here? Is that a real Leica? Where did it really originate? I mean I'm sure it's not the Sultan's own, but ...

The sultan ordered quite a few limited edition, just for him, Leicas a few years back, some, like this one is just gold, there was another edition that had diamonds in it as well. I beleive the gold ones (like this one), were handed out as gifts to his relatives and close freinds.

This, unlike some other stupid Leica special edition camera, was ordered by a client that was willing to pay for them, as opposed to white Leica M8, or special edition m6 in honor of Richard, kind of greenland...
