This is way off topic, but after taking my bride to the doctor three times in the last three weeks for sinus, ear and upper respiratory problems, she developed a lot of pressure inside her ear and it ruptured her eardrum. The pain has been tremendous and she is currently on hydrocodone and amoxicillin.

Other than cotton in her ear and being immobile, has anyone else experienced this sort of thing and what kind of care/treatment do we need to do? The earliest we can get in to see the doctor (ENT specialist) is four weeks.

That seems a lot of time for something else to go wrong and I have no experience with this at all...

I know nothing about this but I'd be pleading with the ENT person to phone me if there is a cancelled appointment at least. Again I would see any ENT person if they could see me sooner than four weeks and just get the Dr to rewrite the referral. Good luck.
