Russian economy and currency tanking

I have no clue about Canadian economy, don't we export not just oil?
My family economy is improving then local gas mafia has to lover their speculative prices which based on oil prices sometimes, while "normally" it is high jacked if it rains slightly more at another end of our ... Planet. Or it is just long weekend.

Whats left too export? Only a few Newsprint Mills left, maybe less than 100 now, and in 1990 we had 296 Paper Mills including Kraft. Steel Mills bought up by south of the border companies, and the rest went to Mexico in manufacturing under the wonderful free trade agreement.
I see your from Milton, Ontario; as I was going out with a great gal from that town back in the late '50s. Parts of the town back than was covered in white from the mining operations in Lime. Are they gone too now?

In 06 my J-3, from the Ukraine to my house cost me a total of $85.00. I had to re shim it for my Bessa R. Most all other soviet cameras, lenses came from US sellers. All my soviet lenses work properly on my Bessa R. KoFe is right. You have to shim the lens for your camera. In the instance of my J-3 I had to adjust the rear lens closer to the film plane & replace the shim to a thinner mm. I bought a J8 for $10.00 that had been adjusted for a Bessa R. It to has very thin shims. All my Industars worked perfect out of the box. Not sure if I could do those lenses. The Jupiters are easy to adjust.

Bought an Exakta 66 with a 80mm 2.8 Xenotar. The seller threw in a Russian 30mm fish eye lens. Thing weighed a ton, but was well made and preformed very well!

Always wanted to go to St. Petersburg. Could be affordable now. I do hope the Russian economy rebounds so the citizens don't suffer.

Even this summer, before the ruble really tanked, Petersburg was generally pretty cheap compared to most stuff in the US (and Moscow).
