Hi all,
I am trying to learn about Russian rangefinders. Can you point me to sites with good info on these things? Or even books on the subject. These cameras look really fun to shoot with, but before I buy one, I would like to learn a bit about them to know what I am getting myself into. Thanks.

Natan Dayton's site has a lot of info as does Jay Javier's and Jim Blazik's. Of course I'm prejudiced but I think MY SITE has some good info, too.
Hope that helps.

All great sites - I'd strongly recommend the Princelle book - also have a look at http://cameras.alfredklomp.com/index.htm, which is loads of fun.
Believe me, you'll buy more than one!

Hi Wayne, OH! I agree with you about your site. I was just getting him pointed down the path to GAS and poverity. After all we don't want to be the only ones afflicted. :bang: Davekiev4a said:Natan Dayton's site has a lot of info as does Jay Javier's and Jim Blazik's. Misery Loves Company. I'm picking up four or five more pieces of misery this weekend from someone locally.

Hello Wayne, great work on your web site.
I'm still scratching my head with regards to that Zorki 3 with synch modification.

I got that from Oleg not long ago. He had two Zorki 3s and a Zorki 3m with synch. The modification on mine is about as nice as I've seen. Makes you wonder why they had to extend the cover on the 3S to make sync standard. I've got a couple of Zorki 1s that had sync added, too.
