Back in early Sept. I bought a 6x6 mask for my Moskva 5 from ebay seller Asterliks. I paid by paypal through his go between Protek Trading Company per his instructions.
After several weeks I emailed him and his responce was that I had not paid. When I forwarded the paypal info to him he cut off communication and has ignored my emails.
I sent Protek Trading Company an email today asking them to either explain to Asterliks that I have paid or I will be asking paypal to investigate and possibly get my money back.
I have dealt with several Russian sellers with no problems whatsoever but this person won't get anymore of my business.
Just thought I would let others know of a possible seller scam. 😡
 
I bought a universal finder from him a long time ago. It took forever and a day for him to get it to me. I waited, waited, waited, got no reply from emails, and then... a package finally came. When I picked it up from the post office and drove home, all of a sudden it hit me that the package should not be that heavy for a simple finder. I was right! He sent me a darn video camera of some sort that some other guy won for like a $1. I was able to get in contact with him, amazingly, and he said he was sorry and that he'd get the finder to me. And... he did.

I have a funny feeling that he just knows it takes forever for the shipping sometimes, and doesn't even bother getting back to those sorts of emails. He responded quickly when my email stated I'd gotten the wrong item. Hopefully this will work out in the long run, as it did for me.

No language problem.. He simply stated I had not paid even after forwarding a copy of the paypal transaction. However after filing a complaint through paypal he contacted me this afternoon and said he will be shipping.

We'll see...

I filed a complaint through paypal and he has contacted me to say he will ship.
 
I hope everything works out for you Colyn. I've delt with him once and everything went smoothly. I'm sure you don't want to hear about that, but I'd like to keep up with how this turns out.

I got an email from him today saying the mask has been shipped. I suspect Protek his go between told him to ship since he reacted so quickly after I filed a complaint with paypal.
I'll let you know if it arrives.
 
This is a follow up to my original complaint.
Asterliks claims to have shipped the mask via registered mail but will not provide shipping details and he has since cut off all communication. I have not received this item so I filed a complaint with paypal.
His go between Protek Trading has said they will look into the matter.
As a result I have to advise against doing business with this person since he will not work with me..
 
I hope he did ship it to you. Maybe "customs" has got their grubby hands on it. I hope that's the case cause it would really suck to go deeper to what should be a standard *bay transaction.

Since he will no longer communicate with me makes me wonder if he really did ship.
He originally tried to say I didn't pay but his go between Protek Trading verified that I did in fact pay.
 
By the way, on eBay/PayPal, if you ever file a complaint don't release it until you get your item. Once you do you have no recourse. Better to escalate and then they act as an escrow agent and if they haven't lost your funds will put a hold on your funds until you indicate you have received the item or there is proof of delivery. I once was talked into releasing on shipment and the seller went on the PayPal shipper service and created a USPS shipper and I released fund. When i went to check on the USPS tracking number that evening it had not been delivered to the post office. It took several emails and calls before it finally was shipped but I would have been out if it hadn't.
