Does the S-50 hood work on the Serenar 50mm f/1.5? The dedicated hood for the Serenar 50mm goes for big bucks!

rover said:Best hood investment I have made, a Series VI Kodak hood and 42mm push on adaptor ring like this one
http://cgi.ebay.com/Kodak-Series-VI...oryZ4702QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Fits Summicrons with 39mm filter rings, Canons with 40mm rings, Sonnars, Nikkors and Jupiters with 40.5mm rings.
rover said:No, my 42mm push on slips outside of my lenses, including my rigid and collapsible cron. The metal skirt should be slotted. It needs to be tight enough to hold the hood in place with friction, but has it been squeezed in making it too tight to go on your lenses? If you slightly bend the skirt out will it work?
rover said:Yeah, I checked them this morning actually, I have a Canon, Kodak and another brand 42mm slip on rings that I use and they all work.
Kodak Series VI Adapter Ring 1 21/32
vrgard said:Thanks for confirming that, Rover. That's very odd since mine clearly doesn't. Mine says on the outside edge of the ring "Kodak Series VI Adapter Ring 1 21/32" or something to that effect. Does that match what your Kodak brand adapter says?
