S to M adaptors

Hi, just wondering if the various nikon/contax S to leica M adaptors ( like th orion or amedeo) are rangefinder coupled or do they only have scale focusing? thanks for any help

They're coupled! At least the one for 50mm and up is.

The orion contax/LTM adapter is rangefinder-coupled, and works well on my Bessa R4A with a standard LTM-M adapter. The Amedeo adapters allow for rangefinder coupling too.

Yes, the standard Orion, Orion copies, & Amedeo adapters are all rangefinder coupled. So are the Cook & Perkins internal & external mount adapters.

Amedeo does offer a scale focus-only adapter for some of the wides whose rear elements are so big they interfere w/cam follower (e.g., 3.5cm/1.8 & Zeiss 21/4.5).
