S4 Test Roll

Nothing really special here but it shows that if I do my part, it works fine. Sunny enough day, Ilford XP2+. I couldn't find my 43mm Yellow and it shows in a few of them. Going to have to buy a new one I suppose. The patch definitely needs cleaning and/or the blue film trick (probably both). Such is life 🙂 I'm very very very happy to have this camera in hand.

The gent on the tractor is my father, closing in on 90, still working the family farm. The image after is his small memorial stone to my mother.

Nice work! I, too, have a love for the S4. Love the stripped-down, simplified lay-out. Have fun!

While in Golden Valley MN today for a VA appointment, I realized I was about two miles away from National Camera Exchange. They were suitably impressed with the S4 when I stopped in to pick up a 43mm yellow filter for my Nikkor 50/1.4 🙂

Looks good, focus and RF seem fine.

The S4 used to sell for 10x what you got yours for.

Patch is a little dim, probably needs a bit of cleaning. I also picked up a blue tungsten adjusting filter to put on the VF and that really helps so I'm really happy.

They do reasonably well by me. I have a friend, ex Navy, though who is getting the run around on his epilepsy meds. Hope he get's that straight soon.

I get free hearing aids and supplies with no disability. They checked my hearing, said I was deaf and sent me hearing aids.

The tinnitus makes a difference from what I've been told. Shrug. I'll "hear" from them soon enough 😉 Hope it works though. $175 extra a month = a fair bit of film and c41 processing/scanning 😈

Oh, OK, you are going for disability. That takes at least three tries. Tell them you need it for film.

I mentioned that price to my son and he decided that the Yakuza must be using cameras to be doing tax evasion. Le Sigh. Not what I'd choose, heh.
