I took some pictures on a walk near my home. I like these places in the autumn.
I'm going to go back and take posed portraits before winter. There are very interesting people.
I would like to do it this year. I hope that I can.
What do you feel looking at these pictures?

the images are nice. they do convey a certain sadness, but I wonder if I was unduly influenced by your title. it would be an interesting experiment to post the same images with a more neutral title and compare peoples' reaction to that versus this thread. in any case, both the scenery and the autumnal light have me feeling kind of blue (with a nod to Miles Davis). one gets the sense of shorter days and a bit decay in these shots. the total absence of people adds to the emotional content here (or should I say subtracts from?).

but I did not want to test/probe or experiment.

and now I am constructing (in my head) thread at Philosphy of Photography about photo projects - how, why, for whom etc.
I must learn English better, because I want to be with you, every RFFers more often and more deeply! (forum of course ;])

I like tour pictures and the way you build the sequence. I feel a sense of emptyness and solitude which as rob said brings a certain sadness. The third pictures is particulary strong from the emotional point of view (at least for me) and I like the composition of the first because the electric lines are so simmetric to the road. Wait to see your portraits...

They do convey some emotion and sadness is not far away.
For the photos, I like them very much, esp #3 & #6.
Q: there is a strong blue cast in every photo, did you go for that look in pp? or they came out that way?

Really enjoyed looking at the pictures - just shows what can be done with colour and no direct sunlight. The last photo in particular struck me probably because the field is planted with a similar crop to mine and with trees round the edges.
Please keep taking photos and posting ones like these - its going to be an interesting collection over the next few weeks.

I have been there twice times, first day 1 hour and 20 minutes next day. These pictures did no idea. And I know that this place is much more photogenic.
Robert, sequence is very important. For me. I think that these pictures alone are different, less consistent.
Dan, blue colors are from postprocessing, but I wanted to show how I felt when I was there.
John, I live near this place. I can and I want to shoot there often. I want to take people on their environment. People are much more "strong".
Everyone on this forum giving me the greatest motivation to work with my camera!

Internet and forum allows us to watch a very different world in real time. In this thread you watching Poland in November. Quite different world than current Australia, Brazil, South Africa or northern Scandinavia. How different light, colors, mood!

I think those are very nice pictures. I don't find your pictures sad at all. Photography is not really the best medium for sentimentality.
On the other hand, had you shot this in video and played gloomy Sunday in the background, then it would be very depressing.
