This was one of the cameras I let go when I got my Leica, so I though I'd post just a few snaps from it's last roll while I owned it.

Low light portrait of my girlfriend

Nothing fancy but this shot shows the incredible exposure latitude of modern color film.

Low light shot of a Porsche Turbo owned by a Californian who parked in a handicap space.

I balanced the camera on the gate for this one, was pretty late.

Nice! Kodak 200 film looks good. I can understand you letting it go. I prefer my Bessa but think I'll hang on to mine. It was my 1st RF Camera. what leica did you get?

Thanks, my first rangefinder was my Canon A35F, I'm keeping that one. I sort of fell into a 58 DS M3 with a matching Elmar 5cm f/2.8. That made me decide to let go of most of my collection and just focus on the Leica and the other cameras that I'm attached to.

Is it bad to admit that my first rangefinder was a leica (IIIa)? Im scanning some QL-17 shots as we speak and im really loving the results.

M3 & Elmar 50 is a great combination. Enjoy!

That garden shot with the cat looks like the Patricia Court apartments in northwest Portland.

Why sell the Canonet? Sure, the Leica probably cost a fair amount, but it's not as if you'll recoup much by selling the Canon, and it could come in handy for those times when you wouldn't want to risk the more speedy camera.

Yep, I think that's right!

I have too many cameras and I paid very little for the Canon. I think I sold it for 7 or 8 times what I bought it for. I've had two of them and I always end up selling them. Their value is so inflated right now, it's hard for me to justify keeping them. Just like the Yashica T4, I've had 4 of those and I just can't keep the damn things. I like my Olympus 35RC better anyway, and I'm keeping that one.

I always feel remorse when I sell a good camera, but I can use the money to buy film and pay for processing. Besides, I'd rather someone use and enjoy it than have it sit in my drawer only to be used once or twice a year.
