A HU posted on the Pnet Lecia Forum directed me to see the work of Sam Abell which i found most inspiring. Not sure if he used a rangefinder or not but his choice lens was a 28mm. Very interesting to see what he shot for himself in B/W and what he shot for National Geographic in colour.

IIRC, according to the National Geo "Field Guide to Photography," Abell is a Leica user, or @ least was @ the time that my copy of the "Field Guide" was published.

strange that link for Sam Abell in my post works when i click on it?
i read too he favoured a 28 and 90 everything i've seen looks like it was taken with a 28.
Some very moving B/W pictures of his father.
