I've been reading about Samigon reels, and how much easier they are to load than Paterson ones, does anyone know where they can be found in the UK?
(Please don't suggest stainless steel ones, I vowed never to touch one again many years ago...

Self reply, getting somewhere, they appear to be AP Photo reels in the UK...

When I bought the last Patterson 5/3 system 4 tank here in Shinjuku (Tokyo), I could only stock up with AP reels since Patterson are not longer available. They work very well with a Patterson tank and 120 is easier to load compared to Patterson.

That's exactly the answer I was looking for, thanks a lot!

I just used my new AP (samigon) reel yesterday with a roll of 120, it was fantastic, wouldn't use anything else now, got it off the paper backing and onto the reel in less than 30 seconds, a record for me.
