I was at the beach today with the same camera and lens! Actually prob not the same lens because I have the AIS Japanese pancake version which unlike the later pancake version focuses to .45 meter. And while I shoot 90+ percent b&w today I was shooting Velvia. But still -- nice shots, and one of the hardiest and most pleasurable sets of fundamental camera machinery.

I really like the FE. I have some non-Ai lenses, so the FE2 was out, the F3 is too big for my street camera size I wanted. Plus, my dad had an FE that he gave me when he went AF with the 8008.
