I ordered one over a month ago and have just been informed by Mainline that I may have it late this week or early next week! The sample images I've seen from this lens haven't really told me much because to me they could have been taken with anything. I'm keen to see how it performs in near zero lighting wide open with the conditions being challenging ... bright lights off to the side etc! Sharpness I'm not too concerned about because someone convinced me that it was a bourgeois concept a long time ago! :D

And I can't wait!

ps ... and yes I know it's huge!

I wandered over to the micro four thirds forum and had a look at the thread containing images from this lens but didn't see anything that really challenged it to my eyes ... at least nothing relating to the environment I intend using it in.

I think with the current limited availability of this lens I may be 'sh*t out of luck' as we say in Oz! :D

Keith,

I am still waiting for mine. But if it is anything like the 25mm it will be good. Admittedly I use mine mostly for video rather than stills.

I found the price a little scary but that's probably more to do with my perception of MFT than reality ... most of the lenses are absolute bargains!

Imagine the cost of an f0.95 35mm for a full frame digital ... the mind boggles!

They are beautifully constructed. A real pleasure to handle. I just made a short visa run to Hong Kong and for the first time in nearly 40 years didn't travel with Nikon of any kind. The GH2 with 12, 20 and 45mm lens. A lot less to carry in warm weather.
