Funny thing is that Walmart price matches so I'm not sure how they could "jacked prices up by 100% or more".

Wal-Mart prices from store to store in a given location may match, but I assure you that out here in rural America, we pay considerably more for most items than the people who live in bigger markets where Wally World has competition.

My son-in-law was in their manager training program for awhile and he saw first hand how much prices varied from the bigger stores to the smaller markets. there were two super Wally Worlds within about 50 miles of one of his training locations. If you were spending a hundred dollars or more at one time, it diffinitely paid to drive the 50 miles. 😡

Seeing as I probably grew up not far from you in a VERY small southern Indiana town I think you're full of it. One, you can purchase anything on Walmart.com and have it sent to your local store. Let the management know and they should fix it. My best friend's 3rd Uncle road horseback to Walmart on a two-legged mule and his empirical account backs up my store 🙄.

I am happy for you that you have had positive experiences while growing up in Southern Indiana. I grew up on a small farm outside a very, very small town in Southern Illinois, population 150 and that included most of the dogs and several cats.

Actually, my son-in-law was in their management training program twice. He just could not bring himself to treat people in the manner that upper management wants their store managers to behave.

I am sorry that you find it necessary to take issue with my experiences with Wally World. However, it does please me that you have had good experiences and are happy with the manner in which Wal-Mart conducts business. We must support our favorite businesses if they are to survive. As for me, Wally World was a great place to shop in its early days when Sam was running the show. Today is something different altogether. As to the OP, it is no surprise to me that Wally World has decided to stop in-house processing of film. It goes along with the current business model of maximising profit dollars per square foot of floor space at all costs including the elimination of needed/wanted services to their customers. Our local Super Wal-Mart has all but eliminated the photo department altogetner. One can buy $99 super compact digital cameras on end caps at the checkouts, but don't ask anyone behind the counter in the photo department a question, because you will only get a dumb look and a less than civil comment, not answere, but a comment on why you are asking the question. 🙁
